We are no longer accepting carcass (bone in) for any wild game species

We add pork and other ingredients to your trim resulting in a gain on the total raw weight of the product before cooking. Products will then shrink from cooking in the smokehouse.

Why take your deer anywhere else?

At Tiefenthaler’s, we pride ourselves on providing superior quality for all our products, including wild game. We use our award winning recipes on all our products.

We will accept boneless wild game meat from September 21st, 2024 until March 1st, 2025.

We will not be processing any products until January 2025 (Subject to 3-4 months processing time) – regardless of when the trim is brought to us. Orders will be processed in the order received.

  • Only BONELESS TRIM for all wild game species will be accepted. $1 per lb. deposit required.
  • NO CARCASS (Bone In) for any wild game species will be accepted.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any boneless trim not properly handled. Make sure your trim meat is clean!!!
  • DO NOT BRING WILD GAME TRIM IN GARBAGE BAGS!!! There are dyes and chemicals in those bags, as these are not intended for food use. Ziploc bags or other food safe containers are acceptable. We have a bundle of (4) food safe bags available for $2 in the store.
  • Pork or Beef trim is added to some products and our prices are figured with that included. We do not accept outside pork or beef or use meat from processing of your hog or beef. For batch consideration and time efficiency, commingling of some products is necessary.
We are not participating in the Iowa DNR Hush Program.

BUSINESS HOURS

We will only accept your boneless venison and other wild game trim during our business hours.

NO EXCEPTIONS

MONDAY – FRIDAY 8 AM TO 5:30 PM

SATURDAY 8 AM TO NOON

CLOSED SUNDAY

We add other ingredients to your wild game trim in some products resulting in a gain on the total raw weight of the product before cooking. Products will then shrink from cooking in the smokehouse. Prices are charged on the total raw weight of the product, not the finished weight.

WE WILL CALL, TEXT OR EMAIL WHEN YOUR ORDER IS COMPLETE AND READY FOR PICKUP. 

When your order is complete we will notify you by telephone or email. It is extremely important to give your correct cell phone number, address and email to us when your order is placed. There is no need to call us and check on your deer order.

All processed wild game must be picked up and paid for in full within 10 days after you receive a call or email that your order is ready. Due to limited freezer space wild game not picked up within 10 days will be subject to a weekly storage fee.

There is 10 lb. minimum per product.

No Wild Game trim will be accepted after March 1st, 2025.

We will not accept wild game again until September 21st, 2025.
